A degree in problem solving.
I’m a Brand and Visual Identity Designer currently working with the Los Angeles Chargers, where I help shape the visual narrative and identity of one of the most iconic teams in the NFL. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the creative teams of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks, where I was able to develop and execute design solutions tailored to their unique brand needs.
And yes, I majored in Math.
Math has always been a subject I’ve been pushed by. On the surface, it might not seem like it has much overlap with my work in design, but my approach to one is my approach to both. I believe in preparing thoroughly, focusing on efficient problem-solving, and learning to map past problems to future ones. And while I’ve swapped the calculator for the pen tool, the drive to solve problems is still the same. Whether it’s in design, business, or elsewhere, I love the challenge of a good problem—but I love finding the solution even more. And if you have creative problems, it’s never a bad idea to find someone with a degree in problem solving.
Outside of my work with the Chargers, I have had the opportunity to connect with students looking to make their way into the design field by being invited to speak at NYU and UCLA. I get to live out my dream job, it only makes sense to help those looking to do the same. Outside of my work in sports design, that is a mission for myself.
